Bloons tower defense 3 Skill game

Bloons Tower Defense 3

Bloons Tower Defense 3 is a classic tower defense strategy game from Ninja Kiwi where you build an army of monkey towers and stop waves of colorful Bloons from reaching the end of the track. Choose your map, select a difficulty, place your defenses, and upgrade your towers as the Bloon waves become increasingly challenging.

Released in 2008, Bloons TD 3 expands significantly on the earlier games with new towers, new upgrades, multiple tracks, additional Bloon types, and more strategic options. With eight tracks and three difficulty levels, there are plenty of different layouts to master.

Instructions

Defend Against Waves of Bloons

The objective is simple: stop the Bloons before they reach the end of the path. Each round sends another wave along the track, and your monkey towers automatically attack Bloons within their range.

Every Bloon you pop helps you earn money, which can then be invested in additional towers and upgrades. As the rounds progress, the Bloons become harder to stop, so building a strong defense from the beginning is important.

Study each track carefully and look for corners, long sections, and areas where your towers can cover the Bloons for as long as possible.

Choose From Different Monkey Towers

Bloons Tower Defense 3 gives you a larger selection of towers and upgrade paths than the earlier games. Classic defenses such as the Dart Monkey, Tack Shooter, Boomerang, Ice Tower, Cannon, and Super Monkey return, alongside additional strategic options.

The Spike-O-Pult can launch large spiked projectiles through groups of Bloons, while the Monkey Beacon improves the capabilities of towers within its range. You can also use road items such as Road Spikes, Monkey Glue, and Pineapples to help deal with difficult waves.

Different towers work better in different situations, so experiment with combinations instead of relying on a single type of defense.

Master Eight Different Tracks

One of the biggest additions in BTD3 is the expanded selection of maps. The game features eight tracks, with four available initially and additional tracks unlocked by completing earlier challenges. Some tracks use straightforward paths, while others feature multiple routes that require more careful tower placement.

Each map can be played on Easy, Medium, or Hard, giving you another reason to return after completing a track. A tower setup that works well on one map may not be as effective on another.

Upgrade Your Defenses

Money earned from popping Bloons can be spent on tower upgrades. Most attack towers have multiple upgrade paths, allowing you to specialize them for different roles.

You might focus on increasing attack speed, improving range, adding piercing power, or giving a tower a completely different attack. Choosing the right upgrades can make a major difference when the later rounds start sending stronger Bloons down the track.

Survive 50 Rounds and Keep Playing

The standard game progresses through 50 rounds, but Bloons Tower Defense 3 also introduced Freeplay Mode, allowing you to continue after completing the main set of rounds. This gives you an opportunity to test your strongest tower combinations against increasingly difficult waves.

Some of the later Bloons contain multiple layers of smaller Bloons, meaning that popping one enemy can lead to several more appearing. BTD3 also features tougher enemies that require powerful defenses and careful planning.

How to Play Bloons Tower Defense 3

Bloons TD 3 is played with the mouse. Select a tower or road item and place it in a suitable position on the map. Towers can then be upgraded as you earn enough money.

Good placement is one of the most important skills in the game. Try to maximize the amount of time Bloons spend within a tower's attack range, and combine towers with different strengths to handle different types of enemies.
