Bloons Tower Defense 2

Bloons Tower Defense 2 is the classic tower defense game from Ninja Kiwi where monkeys defend their territory against waves of colorful Bloons. Place towers around the winding tracks, earn money by popping Bloons, upgrade your defenses, and survive all 50 rounds.

Released in 2007, Bloons Tower Defense 2 expands on the original Bloons Tower Defense with new maps, additional tower options, new upgrades, and useful road items. It keeps the simple mouse-controlled gameplay of the original while giving you more ways to build your defense.

Instructions

Defend Against Waves of Bloons

Your objective in Bloons TD 2 is straightforward: stop the Bloons from reaching the end of the track. Every round sends another wave along the maze, giving your towers opportunities to pop them before they escape.

Different Bloons require different approaches, so simply placing towers anywhere is not always enough. Position your defenses where they can cover as much of the track as possible and make use of corners, intersections, and other areas where Bloons spend more time.

As you pop Bloons, you earn money that can be spent on additional towers and upgrades. Good tower placement combined with smart spending is the key to surviving the later rounds.

Build Your Monkey Defense

Bloons Tower Defense 2 features a selection of classic defensive towers, including the Dart Monkey, Tack Tower, Ice Tower, Bomb Tower, Boomerang Monkey, and Super Monkey. Each tower has its own attack style and upgrade options, allowing you to create different defensive strategies.

Dart Monkeys are useful for reliable basic attacks, while Tack Towers can hit Bloons from several directions. Bomb Towers provide explosive attacks, and Ice Towers can temporarily freeze Bloons. The Boomerang Monkey is one of the notable additions introduced in BTD2.

The Super Monkey is also available for players who can afford its high cost, giving you a powerful late-game defensive option.

Use Road Spikes and Monkey Glue

Bloons Tower Defense 2 also introduces road items, adding another layer to the classic tower defense formula. Road Spikes can be placed directly on the track to pop Bloons as they pass, while Monkey Glue slows Bloons down and gives your towers more time to attack.

These items can be particularly useful when a wave gets through your main defenses. Instead of relying entirely on towers, you can use the track itself as part of your defense.

Choose Your Difficulty

BTD2 includes three maps, with different difficulty levels providing progressively greater challenges. The game features Easy, Medium, and Hard options, giving you a reason to replay the maps after learning the basic mechanics.

The later rounds become increasingly difficult, requiring better tower placement and more careful use of your available money. Saving for an important upgrade can be just as important as placing another tower.

Upgrade Your Towers

Money earned during the game can be used to improve existing defenses or expand your army of monkeys. Upgrades can increase attributes such as range, attack speed, projectile performance, or special abilities depending on the tower.

Try different combinations to find a setup that works for each map. A strong defense usually benefits from combining towers with different attack styles rather than relying on a single type.

How to Play Bloons Tower Defense 2

Bloons TD 2 is played with the mouse. Select a tower from the game interface and place it in a suitable position beside the track. Towers normally have to be placed off the path, while road items such as Road Spikes and Monkey Glue can be placed directly on the track.

Once your defenses are built, watch the Bloons travel through the track and earn money as your towers pop them. Use that money to strengthen your defenses before the next wave.
