toobin Commodore 64 game

Toobin' is an arcade video game developed by Atari Games and Midway Games, released in 1988. The game is centered around the recreational activity of tubing and was later ported to various platforms, including the Amiga, Commodore 64, Atari ST, Amstrad CPC, Nintendo Entertainment System (NES), MS-DOS, Game Boy Color, ZX Spectrum, and MSX.

Gameplay:

Toobin' involves players taking control of tubers named Bif or Jet as they navigate vertically scrolling rivers on inner tubes. The gameplay features river races against either the computer or another player. Players accumulate points by maneuvering through gates, hitting other characters with cans, collecting hidden letters to spell "Toobin'," and gathering treasures. Obstacles are present, and players attempt to avoid them while also trying to push opponents into these obstacles.

Power-ups in the game enable players to carry multiple cans, and combinations of gates increase a score multiplier. Toobin' offers three different classes, each consisting of five rivers, providing a total of 15 levels.

Legacy:

Toobin' is part of Midway Arcade Treasures and Arcade Party Pak, featuring a remixed soundtrack. It was also included in the 2012 compilation Midway Arcade Origins. The game is one of the 23 arcade titles in the Midway Arcade Level Pack for Lego Dimensions, accessible through the hidden Arcade Dock in the level "Follow The Lego Brick Road." Additionally, Toobin' is included in the Arcade1Up Midway Legacy Edition cabinet.
