Robin Smith's International Cricket Amiga game

Back when he was a successful cricket player, Robin Smith endorsed a management game. Playing against the computer, you can choose to play a single match or a series of 3 or 5 one-day matches, representing one of the top 7 international sides. These matches can last between 40 and 60 overs per side.

You start by picking your team of 11 based on their batting, bowling, and wicket-keeping skills. A coin toss decides who bats first, and then you plan your tactics for the upcoming over, considering weather and wicket conditions. The bowling side can pick from 9 field layouts.

The game shows the action from a top-down view of the entire field, with a commentary updating you on each stroke's results. It tells you the type of shot, the fielder involved, and the number of runs scored.
