warlok Commodore 64 game

If you're a fan of Scramble, but you feel like the screens and the bouncing, glittering cannons of the old timer need a fresh revamp, with new challenges like space spiders and more, then Warlok has got you covered. This game bites threads and sends indestructible droids to take a chunk out of its familiar forebear, offering delightful surprises as you navigate through the thoroughly chewed-up cavern. And yes, you'll still need to gather energy in the time-honored fashion.

You can choose from up to four different stages, though I won't claim the graphics are groundbreaking. However, from what I've seen so far, they do deserve a thumbs-up. The game features smooth scrolling and percussive sounds, though don't expect anything like the "Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy" to soothe your troubled brow.

Additionally, you'll encounter mini mazes guarded by blipping lasers.
