In Dogs of War, you play as a freelance mercenary soldier who can take on various missions such as rescuing kidnapped children, stopping terrorists from overthrowing a government, and recovering stolen paintings. The amount of money you earn for each mission depends on how difficult it is.
Gameplay is similar to Commando, with levels that scroll in one direction and are filled with enemies approaching you. You can use buildings and trees as cover and launch attacks strategically.
Before starting a mission, you need to purchase weapons and ammunition, such as pistols, machine guns, anti-tank weapons, and grenade launchers. Each weapon has its own strengths and weaknesses that are explained in detail.
