In Deflektor, your objective is to guide a constantly running laser beam to its receiver. Rotate and position mirrors to change the direction of the beam, while carefully planning a route through the obstacles on each screen.

The puzzles become more challenging as additional elements are introduced. Mines, polarisation filters, prisms, fibre-optic connections and other obstacles can change the path of the laser or create new hazards. You also need to destroy the cells on a level before the route to the receiver can be completed.

The laser has limited energy, so you cannot simply take as much time as you want. Reflecting the beam back toward its source, hitting certain hazards or allowing an overload to continue can cost you a life. This combination of logical thinking, timing and careful positioning makes each screen a new puzzle to solve.

60 Laser Puzzle Levels

The original Deflektor features 60 single-screen levels, with each level presenting a new optical puzzle. As you progress, the layouts and combinations of devices become increasingly difficult to work out.

Rather than relying on traditional enemies or platforming, Deflektor challenges you to understand how light behaves when it encounters different objects. Rotate a mirror, fire the laser and watch the beam travel through the level as you work toward the receiver.
